Hello Do Rover SD1 alloy wheels fit a Morris 1800 Mk3, stud pattern is the same offset seems about right, what wheel nuts do you use, SD1 are metric are Morris 1800 MK3 the same or do you have to use early imperial Rover P6 nuts with SD1 wheels.
Or would Rover P6 V8 Steel wheels 5.5 x 14 be a better bet.
I am going to run 175/70 14 tyres, I know the gearing will be reduced by around 3%. The standard 4.5/14 rims are a little narrow for 175 tyres.
Car is going to be used for rally's not road.
I can get 8 SD1 new old stock wheels from a friend who is a Rover fanatic for a good price, if they fit or alternatively P6 steel wheels. Other wise it is new minilite wheels for 5 X the cost.
Any advice would be great thanks

Yup, same PCD. A club member turned up with his car on SD1 pepperpots some years ago and was roundly teased. The cross lattice ones might look a bit better. Chris.

The Mk111 crabs used the same wheel nuts and studs as the the Mk1/Mk11 in the UK ie not metric. The Mk1 cars used 175x13 tyres on 4.5" rims and I used 175x14 on my Mk11/111 cars to improve tyre life. I would have thought it would be better to use wider rims. I believe that 165x14 (80) as originally fitted to Mk11/111 cars translate to 185/70 x 14, but can lead to fouling.
