An Austin Maxi has turned up at my local car auctions and is going through in the next hour or so...Ive never seen anything this age there before. Im more of a Landcrab man but maybe...
Its a Red 1500 with 47k on the clock, 8 owners and very tidy. I will report back with the sale price...

It sold for £925 plus buyers premium. Seems like strong money considering Stoodleys Auctions(in Manchester)usual stock is much newer. It had at some point been owned by a Maxi club member and generated brisk bidding.
Its listed on their website but didnt notice it until I got there!

It's about time they started picking up in value.
I bought one a few years back for £38.........

They are definitely going up in value, although it is still possible to pick up a very tidy one for about £600 or so. I nearly bought a brown V reg one for £80 once! But my parents wouldn't let me

I have since found out this Maxi was entered by a car dealer but at £925 it didnt meet its reserve so didnt sell.
