Homebase, surprisingly enough, now stock an extensive selection of UNC and UNF nuts and bolts. All pre-packed, so a bit expensive, but very handy for those weekend shortfalls.
You need one of the big Homebases - a Deepo as our American chums would say.

Was in my local Wikos yesterday and they have stocks of varying sizes of nuts, bolts, wing nuts, self tappers, wood screws, washers etc - pick up a plastic bag (about the size of a small food bag) fill to the gunnels with whatever you want, take to till and hand over £2.99

I expect you miss the Woolies pic-n-mix. Oh how I miss English chocolate made in England - sorry off Topic.
