Hi All
whilst I have been looking at a lot of Wolseley 18/85 on the internet for sale I do notice on some they have the Austin style wood door clappings rather than the Wolseley
my question is if you have the Austin style door clapping (small/thin) can they be changed to the right wood clapping if you can get hold of any?

Early cars had the narrow strip of veneer which isn't real wood along with a diamond stitch effect door trim, and door bins. The 18/85 Mk11 from 1969 onwards got the more substantial looking wood veneer trim and plain door cards, with much smaller pockets. So the Austin type cappings are correct for the Mk1. I think in order to fit the later type there should be some brackets or clips on the door to attach them. I am sure some with more knowledge about that will be along soon.
