On to the tidy up jobs.
Does someone have a pic of where the windscreen washer bottle should live for a Mk2 Automatic?
I've seen it in various places on various engine pics, but I'm guessing that inside the cabin below where the radio goes isn't right (that's where it is now.)
Looks like there is a space (but not much) at the front adjacent the distributor- but it seems a long way to track the tubes back. On the other hand it doesn't seem right to squeeze it in between the master cylinder and the wiring at the back.
Oh and if someone could point out a replacement unit that would be great.

Taken from BL service manual. Circles show where I have seen them located. As shown on inner wing. Attached to the battery bracket near bulkhead Attached to bash panel facing battery Bottle shown is circular, mine - and a few others - have rectangular ones. Really depends on what you want. Good starting point

The one at the front, whilst it works, is definitely incorrect. I had to sort a replacement servo, which didn't allow the pressure bottle to fit, so that went where the washer bottle went, and the washer bottle finished up on the slam panel. It all works, so I'm not apologising.

Thanks for that info people. And for marking the diagram. It gives me some confidence to decide what to do. Cheers Paddy

Got a new smaller bottle - but could only fit it at the front - right next to distributor (mmm?) Then saw this in the owner's handbook. Tight fit but fits. Attachments:engine bay.pdf (85.07 KB)
