Hi, I'm Phil Truman from Sandbach. Bought a 1970 Wolseley 18/85 after falling for a very flowery eBay add from a dealer in Yorkshire. Entirely my own fault, paid far too much although got a third back from him later on but there you go, lesson learned. I've pondered whether to eBay it over the summer but decided instead to bite the bullet and get it roadworthy and structurally sound. Got some sills from Ray House along with a new radiator and also picked up some excellent wings off eBay. Happily Dave Tripplescrew put me in touch with Chris Chantrell for the welding 😀 I've also joined the landcrab club too! This afternoon I've been removing the interior and carpets ready for welding. The rear floorpans are fine and the front are much better than I thought they'd be. A previous owner had put really sticky soundproofing with like a bitumen backing on the front floor so that took a while to Attachments:

Welcome Phil, There's plenty to see on welding on this forum with Chris; beats the Hallowe'en stuff out there any day.

Welcome and good luck! Did the same as you with mine but didn't get a third back - well done. Without stating the obvious once it's structure is sound it's happy days - just don't be tempted too far down the modified route like me!! That way lies product development at your own expense! Cheers Andrew
