Anyone who rolls around under cars will have some sort of work light. I've used a halogen floor lamp for years. Plenty of light, but cumbersome being quite bulky and very, very hot. I have also found it very difficult to position for welding without it tripping my welding mask.
I have finally replaced it with an LED floor lamp.
This one is 24W and cost £23 from Screwfix. Very bright, fairly directional, not at all bulky and doesn't trip my welding mask when indulging in my very most favourite thing; upside down plug welding.
A good buy.
