Hi, After speaking to a local I'd been encouraged to pull off the water pump - looked okay to me, turned and was smooth and not much corrosion on the blades. But after speaking to my mate the mechanic he reminded me that its is indeed very hot in the South Australian summer and I shouldn't risk it and must replace it. The pump i took of is type 12H1156 MOWOG On line I can find: WP738GMB eg (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/111991473944), or www.ebay.com.au/itm/GMB-Water-Pump-WP738GMB-to-suit-Austin-1800-Mark-2-65-70-/331086333611?hash=item4d164886ab:g:BuwAAOSwEeFVEpsN)Would these pumps be suitable replacements - and other than the normal chances of ebay is there anything else I need to be wary of? Regards Paddy

Paddy - you'll find a bigger selection of pumps if you search for GWP130. The pump has multiple applications, so is relatively easy to source. There is a tech article in Patterns, Plans, Templates & Methods - HERE. Sorry for the delay - completely missed your post. Chris.

Thanks Chris, Sometime the coding can be a little confusing and stuff you buy on the internet is a pain when it doesn't fit. Cheers
