15" Moto Lita from memory. Steering column had a universal joint half way down so the wheel was less Landcrab in angle, more vertical if that makes sense.

Andrew, Thanks for sharing, the Ute looked good value compared to some of the stuff there. I am not sure what I would do with the Tourette Supreme but driving it wouldn't be on my list. Quite a few lots unsold.

A few years ago I bought some trim and carpets from two brothers in Yorkshire. They showed me their Landcrab which they had rallied in Russia and elsewhere. They thought the standard mech fan and cooling system perfectly good for this and couldn't understand why mine had an electric fan - no need they said. My car also had stupidly heavy steering which wasn't helped by the smaller steering wheel . Don't chuck out the standard one just yet.

Good spot, description also confirms it as a £607 bill. If the electric fuel and water pumps are still there along with some of the other bits the next owner will need to do some mental maths with the Dynamo if running at night or using lots of accessories. Last time the selling bid was £3,250 I think. I would have thought it should do that again without too much trouble.

Looks my former Landcrab has turned up again 18 months after I sold it, back to the same Auction company. I did speak to the next owner and he was keen to reinstate the power steering. It would be interesting to see if he managed it, the Moto Lita steering wheel I had has been replaced by the standard item. HereNick

Three long but very enjoyable days at the show. I still can't quite work out the lighting there so excuse the dodgy ones but here is a small flavour. Innocenti 1100 in case you were wondering Another 1100 variant - a Victoria I think Not mine (it was on another stand). This is the MG FWD Register WOC stand looked a bit stark this year. Allegro Club ran a cryptic quiz with the all the answers being colours available on the car Good selection of early Metros It wasn't deserted, most of these were taken before 8am, long before it opened. There were more, will load a few if Photobucket is playing - it's being very tedious at the moment with me Nick

Obviously no pictures yet as it hasn't started but I'll post some here after the weekend. At fairly late notice I have been asked if I would take the Maestro and put it on the Maestro and Montego owners stand after a fellow member needed to drop out. It's a great honour to be asked and a feather in the cap for the car. Someone once asked me what my show prep routine was and I have to admit that I don't have one. I only ever polished my Wolseley once while I owned it and until last week the Maestro hadn't seen any of that stuff at all. It has now. So as not to let the side down I've bought things I didn't even know existed, clay bar, detailing spray, polish, polish protection coat and so on. Have to say the car looks good now and just hope at can stand by its peers.
If you are going to the show please come to the stand in Hall 4 (same one as Landcrab owners) and say hello. I'll be there all Friday, most of Saturday and for the last couple of hours on Sunday.

Pilot, I never knew they did a Coupe like that. Don't suppose it will handle anything like a Landcrab.

Good one Chris, I'll probably get one as I only need to think about nudging my halogen lamp and it blows a bulb; and of course the heat - ouch, more than once.

We may have had this one before, anyway an 1800 for £1800. Not perfect but not bad and quite late for a Mk1 though I have seen one on a 'G' before now. Here.then unless I am mistaken this is, or was Michael Sanchez's Ute and very nice it is too. Up for auction at the end of November. Here.Nick

Funny, a year has gone by since I last posted about the car in this thread, it's not a Landcrab so lets not overdo it eh? Alway a relief to pass the MOT test, this time with an advisory about the rear wheel bearings so I'll take a look at those over the winter along with the rear brakes which were just within the test boundaries for right/left balance at the rear. "] They are really good at my local MOT centre and let me have a look under the car when it was up on this ramp. There is a bit of rust at the rear of the os sill behind the wheel arch trim so I'll need to get that sorted before it spreads, otherwise it's all looks pretty solid under there. Nick
