I drove my 18/85 out in snow and the manners were good considering the tyres, but the biggest worry was clouting the low auto gearbox and sump. Which I did.

Under the hammer at Brightwells 8th March is this here Wolseley Six. Scroll down to the bottom to find it. It has an estimate of £2000 - £3000 which seems OK though there are no interior pictures. [I've got a thing about this colour] Looking back, it didn't sell, and was not entered onto later Brightwells auctions either. DVLA record shows no ownership change since 2015. On eBay now, looks like it went into the trade. 99p start and no reserve!. Although he did want nearer £4k for when it turned up to shows last summer YNH 588Mwww.ebay.co.uk/itm/1973-WOLSELEY-SIX-AUTO-3x-owners-with-history/202128093476

LOCI ad since expired, but I found at the depth of the internets: OPE 678LThat number corresponds to Castle Limos of Downpatrick, which is 50 minutes from the Belfast ferry. Quite likely how it got there, what with it still wearing its Surrey plate. Isn't 'Patrick Gordon' the fella known for having a bit of a collection, including the two-tone Austin 1800 Limo? Edit: It did change owner this year Achieved a bid at £1000, but did not meet reserve.

I'm pretty sure that's the one advertised on LOCI for a year or so, peering out of a garage. Glad it's been rolled out so we can actually see it! Has PAS though and I think he wanted £2000 or thereabouts.

Winning bid: £930 [26 bids] Strewth. I bought and sold my Mk1 18H-engined 18/85 for that sort of money and it was pristine compared to that - and had PAS Still - proves things are very much on the up! The good thing is this money is outside of oval racers limit for these, so it should have a good future
