Also just noticed the position of the top radiator hose is same as Mk2 and there is no PAS bracket cast into the thermostat housing which the later Mk3s have.

the Mk3 press launch pack claims the 1800 was negative earth from launch but that engine bay shot does certainly show it's positive earth!
No "negative earth" warning sticker on the slam panel either. So Mk2.5 it is!
The alternator option is shown as a 16ACR which would be negative earth.
Must have been fun on the assembly line!

Couple of photos from the official launch on 21st March 1972 on the 1800 dynamo was still standard, alternator an option, PAS an option (but bizarrely you could not have both alternator and PAS, it was one or the other). Other options were automatic gearbox, heated rear window and reclining front seats.

I am going to do that when I renew in April Chris - then the password is sent to me. At the moment I need the hard copy to get the password to view the online members area - as we said elsewhere, Catch 22!
No worries about this - it was just a comment, not a complaint. Hi peppib, I'm glad this has been sorted out. Yes, agree about the Catch 22 - but the access details for the memberszone do get compromised from time to time so need to be replaced. Just to let everyone know the password will be changing more frequently in 2017 too. We do have a number of members who like to have a "hard copy" magazine for bookshelf reference but also want to be emailed when the e-magazine goes online. If any "hard copy" member wants to be added to the mailing list for the next online e-magazine just send your preferred email address, quoting membership number to the webmaster Now I'd like to get some feedback - does anyone use the Flip-book edition or do you prefer to download the PDF for offline reading?

Show was cancelled, following a site visit this morning by the council, due to severe waterlogging of the site.
We know that some people came in their cars and travelled a long way, so sorry for the disappointment.
Earlier this morning there was snow - now it's sunny. Very frustrating, the PoL organisers must be gutted after all their hard work.

PRIDE OF LONGBRIDGE SITREP - UPDATE
The organiser's site visit has been done, bits are better than Tuesday, some areas have cleared, others are worse. The organisers will be doing another site visit Friday night and one at 6am Saturday. The event is going ahead 100% but if the rain carries on we will be parking in different areas per the "back up plan". Please be flexible and supportive and follow the marshals' instructions on arrival. Many thanks to Grosvenor Lucas for running liaison with the Pride of Longbridge Organisers on the Club's behalf.
