Well spotted, there could soon be an insurance claim for fire damage! I hope the rest of the restoration was to a higher standard. Maybe an ex-MOD car? Servo seems to be modified - the rubber connector that splits, dreadful design. It does look more like an early Mk111 car (Mk2.75?) with the alternator, engine breathing, etc?
