"Classic and Sports Car" has revealed proposals for EU legislation to limit access to LEZ (low emission zones) to historic unmodified vehicles. here Any definition must have boundaries and who, for example, is to say that an unmodified 1920 Bentley is of greater historic value than a 1959 Mini or 1964 Landcrab? If this legislation were to be passed then I fear the Crab would be lumped in with all the other "old cars." LEZs will undoubtedly increase in number and either become no go areas for our cars or owners would be required to pay prohibitive daily charges (? £100 per day perhaps.) As the readers' comments indicate, the old cars emissions are an insignificant proportion of the total. You may wish to add to the comments and hopefully there will be some form of consultation. So glad we're not part of the EU.
It's share madness.
