I came across this video Mk1 1800 that I found worth watching from beginning to the end - 9 minutes in all. However, if you just want to see a Mk1 Austin Rally Car from 1965 there are a few seconds at the end at around the 8 min 39 mark. I've not seen this car TEU 506C before and it started from Scotland driven by Stewart Hutton and Sean Hanlon. It did finish so well done to them. Does anyone know any more about the car and drivers? The car is still around and if this website is up to date you can buy it Here. The site includes some of the history. Nick

Very nice 1800!
However, I go faster on my way to work in the 1800. In far worse winter conditions:-)

Heh - Two amateurs driving an Oz built rally car that's never even seen snow before.... No wonder you can go faster, Tommy. Still, nice to see one "out and about". Chris.

Nick: It's not clear whether it is for sale as the details in your link indicate it was MOT'd until Jan 2014. The rally where Tommy was so enthusiastic about how fast it was going took place early this year. Tommy perhaps you should enter next year . I spent a bit more time looking on that site and the car appears in the cars sold section so no longer for sale. The Rallye Historique film would indicate that whoever bought it entered the car. Yes, quite slow; over to Tommy.....

Stewart Hutton and Sean Hanlon - 254th - last finisher from 310 starters. HERE. At least they got it round, which is probably more than most of us could have done! Chris.

You are cruel! I was trying to avoid mentioning that. But as you say, finishing is actually a good achievement. David Stewart Hutton and Sean Hanlon - 254th - last finisher from 310 starters. HERE. At least they got it round, which is probably more than most of us could have done! Chris.

Not sure how you found the site? I tried all kinds of "Googling" to try and track down the car without success, well done. Now how about Tommy and Andrew A entering; with Andrew's racing experience and Tommy's snow expertise maybe we could have a Paddy Hopkirk / Tony Fall partnership David I spent a bit more time looking on that site and the car appears in the cars sold section so no longer for sale. The Rallye Historique film would indicate that whoever bought it entered the car. Yes, quite slow; over to Tommy..... Nick

If they are by any chance members of this forum, I hope they have a sense of humour. If not, I hope they will join soon. We know you're not really being cruel Andrew!
