Just found this video while hiding from the 40C heat that's making life difficult to do anything outside. It follows Colin Taylor's rally to Sydney as a private entrant. There's some interesting driving around the 24 minute mark and a change of rear suspension unit in 20 minutes after some possibly over enthusiastic speeding on rough surfaces.
I have a DVD of the excellent official Castrol archive of the rally but I've not found that freely available yet.
Love it - thanks for posting this. The version I did in 2004 was organised by Nick Brittan who did the original LtoS in a Lotus Cortina. Basically same route through Europe and Turkey then airlift to India (over the fighting bits) and then a longer route in Oz. Event also picked up a lot of the special stages from famous rallies eg. bits of the Acropolis rally in Greece, Mille Miglia in Italy etc all sorted out by local car clubs on the way. Cheers Andrew
