G'day! Anyone in Australia or New Zealand know their way around the world of Holden? Perhaps you know a specialist and / or a good source of parts? My brother is looking for some components for a 2002 Statesman WH. Thanks for the tips!

Not a Holden owner myself, but they are very popular down here of course. Google has presented a few options, this is one of them: www.fordandholdenparts.co.nz/Good luck with your search, shouldn't be too hard _b -Andrew

Thanks for the tip. So far EBAY has yielded a few in New Zealand and Australia, but many say they will not send parts out of the country. Is this commonplace? Fiscal reasons?

I don't think too many Kiwis use Ebay for sellig, can't comment on the Aussies though.
I'd wager most don't send outside of the country because they can't be bothered with the perceived hassle of it. Even some people selling small items nationally can't be bothered posting it and have it listed as "pick up only".

Thank you for your suggestions. Eventually found someone willing to send the bits to my brother. And shortly afterwards managed to source some much-needed ADO61-parts for myself. The only disappointing part was how much the government wants in taxes and duties but we can't do anything about that, can we?

Nope, the government (who's ever it is) always wins. That said, it's a lot cheaper shipping stuff over from Oz and NZ than it is from the US.
