A beautiful sunny day this year at this popular end of season event and good turn out of 'Crabs. The Minors were fewer in number this year due to a clash of dates. There were some nice visitors as well. View from the perch. Tony Wood's Austin. Four Square's police Morris. Mike and Tony Jordan came in their rally car. PeppiB, Rachel and the Morris. John from Harrogate came in this MkII 18/85, which I am reliably informed is Limeflower. Nina's KOW. Seen this Six a few times this year. Lovely. Katie. Ian and his recently recommissioned Morris. Quite déjà vu, this car - colour, interior, carpets are the same as the one Austin I'm working on. Laurie was out in Penny's DOE. This car was runner up for best 'Crab. Somehow I've failed to photograph the Snowberry 18/85 from Mirfield which was Best Crab on the day. Chris.

I met the owners of the Limeflower car last year. It had lost its twin carb engine. It also featured in the 'Iron Lady' film a few years ago.
Looks like you had a lovely day out. Nick

Pleased you photographed Mo from far enough away so her paintwork doesn't look too bad! Shame about the fat bloke leaning beside her

Hi Nick,
Yup, cracking good day with lovely weather. John has now got the "Iron Lady" 'Crab and I did give him an invite to the forum, so he may pop up soon. The car is just getting to that stage where it needs some work - it's nice but the bubbles and cracks from previous repairs are just starting to come through.
PeppiB,
Nice to meet you and Rachel, always good to put a face to a name and spend some time talking. I did see and realise the problems that you'd had with the painting side of things. Pretty disgraceful situation, really. Still, bit of autumn sunshine can always make things look a bit better.
Just to add a little to the day, this time it was me who had the "intersting technical problem" - the drivers window came off its runners and it took the combined talents of myself, Ian and Tony Jordan to make the d@mn thing go back together. The regulator mechanism is not really very happy, so whilst it's now working I shall have to rifle the spares pile and see if I've got a better one. Thanks chaps.
Chris.
