The BL dealer where my grandfather worked, a/s Autocar, in 1972. This is the showroom, in the centre of Trondheim city. The workshop was 5 minutes away. In fact I've just discovered this photo, so first time I see what this place really looked like. Amazing. According to mum, my blue one was a demo car, and used to stand on a circulating floor here. What a sight it would have been, to enter the city and see it standing there. It must have been the best spot for a showroom in the city. Just where you enter, coming over a bridge. Waiting at the traffic light, many would have been tempted to buy, looking at the cars in the showroom. www.flickr.com/photos/trondheim_byarkiv/8568732212/A Morris 1800 mk 1 outside a car parts store in 1972 www.flickr.com/photos/trondheim_byarkiv/11871766895/Regards, Tommy

Thanks Tommy. I find it fascinating to look back and see what life was like back in the early seventies. 1972 was in fact the year I purchased my best ever Landcrab, a white Mk1 Austin of late 1967 vintage. I wonder if anyone actually has a pic of your blue car in the showroom. You are fortunate to live in such a nice place. Regards David The BL dealer where my grandfather worked, a/s Autocar, in 1972.
