I really was - I'd love one! You def couldn't do one to that standard for that price but it's still a lot of money and I'd like one I could use for taking stuff to the dump, pulling boats about, transporting dogs etc etc and it seems a shame to do that to Mike's to be honest. Excuses excuses....

Andrew, Thanks for sharing, the Ute looked good value compared to some of the stuff there. I am not sure what I would do with the Tourette Supreme but driving it wouldn't be on my list. Quite a few lots unsold.

Yes it was interesting what was and what wasn't popular. The Tourette Supreme - what a classic - on so many fronts!

Nick and Snoopy - which size steering wheel did you end up with? Cheers Andrew

15" Moto Lita from memory. Steering column had a universal joint half way down so the wheel was less Landcrab in angle, more vertical if that makes sense.

Ok - here we go - first attempt at this sort of thing - I know it goes on a bit - make sure you have sound and speakers on - don't be too harsh!

I just watched it full (well nearly!) screen on the TV. Well done, some excellent editing and I enjoyed the scenery and that feeling of being in the driving seat. You really get the impression that the car pulls very well up the inclines. I hope the music is licensed so it soesn't get pulled before you reach the 1 million views. Thanks for posting David Ok - here we go - first attempt at this sort of thing - I know it goes on a bit - make sure you have sound and speakers on - don't be too harsh!

My wheel is 15 inches. The problem I had was that I couldn't find a wheel with a dish as deep as the original in a style I liked. I solved this by making an aluminium spacer to fit between the boss and the wheel and boss. Without this the wheel would feel further away and mess up the ergonomics. It would feel like you were reaching for the wheel as you were driving. The boss was from Ascalli found in penguin's spare parts pile. The wood rimmed wheel was from Mountney. Cost about £60 but it feels in keeping with the car.

Nearly a 100 views last time I looked! For some reason it won't play on the IPAD or my friend's Android tablet but does on the computer and smart TV. Any ideas why? Thanks for the update on the wheel size - appreciate it. Am putting in some more supportive seats next week so will get them in the right position relative to pedals and then worry about the steering wheel I think. Seats a pain because of hump in floor - they end up being too high! Also have to fit a rain light (!) as going motor racing in Feb with car. No idea re the mysteries of youtube - although my mate had same problem. Had(my fault) to fill up with more rubbish fuel - car pinking all over the place despite the addition of every octane booster,redex/whatever I had lying around the garage. Am also on these soppy spark plugs B7 ECS - which are great when everything's 100% but even NGK admit they don't like it and foul up when things are a bit off (not helped no doubt by my addition of the various versions of mechanical snake oil I've poured in). Entirely down to me - what an idiot. Car is being used as everyday car at the mo so will soon get through this tank and hopefully back to normal.

Car much happier now as all old fuel gone.. Here she is with her rain light fitted so that no-one runs into the back of me at Silverstone in February (!!) And here's a few pictures of the new seats (+ the tripmeter) as promised. No excuse for not being a bit quicker now...

At least 10mph faster I think! The car looked impressive in the Youtube video overtaking the MG. Fresh fuel for Silverstone?

David
