Chris, I'm sure yours will look this good. This car seems to have been on sale forever. It has been lurking around on that website since long before I bought mine. I notice that the red auto on crabmart has been there for a while too.
Still very nice looking cars though
Hope your boredom passes soon

It's a long cable to the battery, probably located in the boot that Tommy could check for voltage drops when it won't start on a cold morning . A question for Andrew (Indy) where do you think they located the brake servo? Could they use your bracket I wonder? Why they made the electrics so messy instead of just using a neat relay and fuse box I never know. Anyone recognise the dual brake master cylinder and clutch m/s? David PS Chris If you are bored that is a great opportunity to get on with all those light and tedious tasks such as paperwork and sorting out photos, or maybe you are? Got a spare £30k? LINKY. This might interest David - radical re-wiring under the bonnet. Chris.

Here's an eBay one i didn't spot for a day or two: Link to sale HERE. Seems to be a lot of interest in it - 40 plus bids with three days left at the time of writing. Chris.

I must get my eyes tested or my monitor calibrated; it says on Ebay that the colour is brown! David Here's an eBay one i didn't spot for a day or two: Link to sale HERE. Seems to be a lot of interest in it - 40 plus bids with three days left at the time of writing. Chris.

David, I thought that too, it's not your eyesight. According to the DVLA it is supposed to be brown unless the door pulls count. Looks like a repaint to me , especially as there is no engine view. I think if I were selling this I would have bothered to get the paperwork out to check the MOT and get the recorded mileage too before writing up what is otherwise a comprehensive description on eBay. Still, the seller does advise going to have a look. While I am in the land of confusion, can anyone explain this on crabmart. Again DVLA tells a different story. UK members will spot the anomaly straight away on this Wolseley Six hereNick

While I am in the land of confusion, can anyone explain this on crabmart. Yep, it's not a Six. Well the front panel might be off one, but the reg is off an 18/85.

It would appear this car is at least a 1974/5 model as it has the cigarette lighter on the dashboard. It could just be that the bumpers along with the seats & steering wheel are from the 18/85 donor car I have asked the seller to clarify. As soon as a reply is given I will post it.

How did you get the report? I'm getting out of touch here. What does "date of liability" mean and why isn't it showing as tax exempt if registered in 1971, is it because there is no date of manufacture, strange. David That's a bit naughty........ Chris.

Follow the link on to the DVLA site and you can make an enquiry on any vehicle as long as you know the registration and make DVLA taxdiscThe liability refers to the expiry of the last valid road fund licence and applies whether it is zero rated or chargeable. In this case the car would not have been tax exempt in 1996 as the rolling 25 year rule wouldn't have come into effect until January 1997 for 1971 cars. Nick

Right lads to put this issue to bed I have been in touch with the seller regarding the reg number as I stated the bumpers came off a wolseley 18/85 donor car along with the interior etc. The seller is not trying to work one or any thing like that. They have the correct paper work for the six along with the log book they are going to forward me the correct reg number. Should any of you be interested in the car here is the phone number 07591444431 ask for Eric.
