Looks a very decent car but out of my price range at the moment.
Still MOT history looks very clean even though it expired two years ago. Might be worth going to have a look.

And what’s holding the large battery in? Going to rub on the engine damper.

I'm not sure why anyone would remove the servo and then try and sell the car. In my view a Landcrab without a brake servo is unroadworthy as the force needed to stop the car quickly is way too much for the average person. The advert is placed by a motor trader who notes they have carried out a brake overhaul and as a trader must, I believe, carry some liability for an undeclared modification such as this. That and the battery would make me worry about what else has been bodged in what otherwise appears to be a tidy car. Shame about the colour though!

Would that be the servo that is missing?

Yes indeed. The washer bottle appears to be attached to the servo bracket.

Yup. The blue car has a Girling Powerstop IIB. The repair kit for it is over £130 last time I looked, so little surprise that people take them off. It offers a 3:1 boost, so you're left with a lot of car to stop with just your leg muscles.
No excuse for it really. A remote servo is a remote servo. My 18/85 has a Lockheed servo bolted to the bulkhead and the Austin uses a Powertune Lockheed copy - about £85 IIRC. Make a couple of brackets and some pipework and it works very well. It has a 2½:1 ratio and I really can't tell any difference.
Chris.

Put a similar servo on mine, MGC version, that gives 3:1.

Whoa, just looked up the MGC version on Moss and over£200 now, only paid £140 approx when I got mine. Getting old. “Ow much?”

If this is FMA530F, it has been up for a while. I saw it originally at £1,400 needing some work and then it reappeared a few month later at £6,995 looking quite a bit better. But so I would hope for that increase.

I think this was the first time we saw it, back on page 42. Chris.

Interesting to see how the same cars reappear every so often.
