You may wish to have a look at this relatively new website if you haven't already found it. It is focused on Australian Landcrabs but of course much is relevant to the UK and other specifications. HERE If you sign up as a member you can download parts manuals, gasket and tool details plus many other bits and pieces. Just to give you a taste of the high quality have a look at the articles here. HERE I found the one on the clutch push rods especially interesting and may answer questions you have about the clutch engagement. I think there is scope for bringing info from this forum into this website if our administrators are in agreement. ( I was planning something like this some time ago but......!) Regards David

I have no objection in principal to the pooling and sharing of information for the benefit of all 'Crab owners, providing that due credit is given to sources and authors.
Keef is also an administrator of this board, so you would need his agreement as well.
Richard, the founder, has pretty much dropped out altogether having sold his 'Crab.
In some ways, this raises an interesting issue as to the future of this board. As a platform, Proboards is very limited from a development and management point of view. Other far more capable systems are available, even in the "free use" format.
My principal concern is that the actual content of this board cannot be transferred to another provider were we to choose to move on. Not only can it not be downloaded, but Proboards claim the content as their own, rather than the forum's. I find this rather worrying, given the effort, thought and unique content provided by the membership.
In some ways, it doesn't matter all that much. After 3 years, there are only 93 of us, less than 20 of whom are "active", so the need to actually upgrade and improve the board is a pretty minor issue.
Only the front pages on the new Oz site are working, BTW. It has a definite smack of the old Homestead site about it - same people involved?
Chris.

Hi Chris I have just tried the new site both as a non member and again logged in and everything is now working including downloads. Having contacted the administrator of the site he is impressed by the Landcrab proboards activity especially the projects and the shared information and active support given by the members. Until I contacted him he was unaware of this forum's existence. I don't have a problem with the Landcrab information and support being spread over a number of sites, but it would certainly be helpful if everyone was aware of all of the available resources. I don't think you should be too disappointed at having only 93 members with around 20 "active". Given the relatively small number of Landcrab owners worldwide I think this is quite an achievement and I like to think is helping to preserve at least some of the remaining cars. Yes, the new website has been put together with help from the original Homestead and subsequent Bluestreak six contributors, I believe in response to the demise of LOCA. Perhaps one way forward would be to post links on the website, subject to the administrator's agreement to some of the individual topics. Perhaps copy some threads across as tasters - if that is allowable under the Proboards ownership rules? I am concerned at what you say about owning the (our) content - this seems to follow the way photo sharing sites have operated. I thought, it appears wrongly, that this information was all public domain.
