Hi Colin
Given that it appears your car has a non functioning servo my advice is not to drive the car on public roads until this is sorted. In the event of an accident I believe the vehicle would most probably be found to be unroadworthy.

There appear to be a number of companies on the internet that'll carry out the job. I went with a new replacement on mine and had to return it twice until I got one that worked (!) had same experience with a new servo on another classic as well. Once I got a good one there were no further problems but quality control was hit and miss, so I'd go with a rebuild if I were you - where at least they test them before they come back. Should make a helluva difference once done!

Yes, I have found a company here in Chrustchurch, NZ that rebuilds servos. I was encouraged by the fact that they had technicians who knew what an 1800 was.
