I think the only one I ever regularly recognised from that series was the Sprint - stripe an vinyl roof.

er, sorry to be pedantic, but in post 6 on page 1 I identified the Triumph 1500 and in post 7 Nick agreed it was correct. As I said then, I owned one of these until it rusted away aged 5 (mine was a 1971 vintage) owned from early 1973 to 1976. Beggar to get parts for it though - usually the factory was on strike. Worst case was waiting weeks for a flywheel - the original was found to have a huge crack in it. Eventually I wrote a Private and Confidential letter to the Triumph MD (can't remember his name) asking if we were to go to the Japanese market to ensure continuity of motoring. My flywheel arrived 2 days later!
