They fit in the Seat so I think I'll be in that! See you tomorrow,

Hi, £25 for the spare wheel tray and both brackets. Not sure that's a bargain but at least they've got them. I'm hoping to get up your way about 1.30 or 2pm if that's ok? I'm going to try to get the wings in my Exeo first as it's a bit warmer in this weather, failing that it'll be the Maxi but going steady.

I've secured the spare wheel tray and tie rod housings, picking them up on Friday! I'll take a few pics, they're in the process of breaking the car up at the moment.

I've found a pic on the forum of a tie bar housing I think but can't paste it. I'll look through my manual.

Hi Chris, I'll give the guy selling the scrapper on eBay a call about the tray tomorrow, cheers for the tip off! If it's the blue one in Pontefract it looks quite nice to be scrapped. I'm going to try to get Friday off if you're about in the afternoon, to bring the wings up. I'll be in the Maxi - hopefully the weather will be ok. I've used the Hammerite Rustbeater primer on the inside of the wings. Think I need to bring them into the kitchen for it to dry properly though. Good thing I live alone!!

I need to track down a new tray! I'll get the inside of the wings primered omorrow Chris and get them up to you in the next week.

Is that part of the inner sill then, at the rear? I need to track down a hydrolastic pump - I'll need to replace suspension bushes and ball joints so I could do with one now. The Maxi will need a bit of work on the rear suspension soon too. Are the Liquid Lever type any good?

Crikey! The last bit one owner apparently spent £1200 on repairs - mainly on filler by the looks of it!

Cheers Chris, it's always been a little reluctant to start. Wondered what those extra wires on the battery terminals were for. I know the oil pressure is disconnected too, the switch looks really odd. The sill looks great. I'll carry on with sorting the wings tomorrow. Would I be able to pop them up after Christmas sometime? They'll go in the back of the Maxi.

Its great watching the progress like this. I've got the lights/ mirrors off the wings, waiting for Upol delivery so I can start cleaning them up and priming them inside next weekend. They seem really solid, the guy who took them off his car left a bit of inner wing attached on the top edge - shall I leave it on or have a go at getting it off? I know it needs to come off. Looks like it's spot welded.

It looks really complicated to the untrained eye, is this construction why the Landcrab was so strong? I've started to strip the lights etc out of the replacement wings, should I paint rustproofing primer on the inside do you reckon? I know it will burn off a bit where the wings get welded on. Any recommendations? - I used Rustbeater on my Victor 101 and then Shultz.
