After chris did the sills , those winter nights were spent doing things a bloke does in his workshop , took the grill to bits to get to the rust that was reflecting on the chrome from above the slats , sad but did you know there are 79 rivets holding it together , 4 bolts and 6 self tappers, and two nuts holding the morris badge on, paint in early May so soon be back on the road .

I made some shims to go behind the door hinges, to adjust the gap. Worked very well. Tommy Thanks I've done that in the past but the door needs to go the other way looks like a hammer job

The "old" doors fitted reasonably well and as you know there is is only vertical and horizontal adjustment, therefore the change in fit must be down to the shape of the frame of the new door. To close the gap at the bottom you would have to knock the inner frame inwards using a hammer and a block of wood - slowly, gently and check for fit very regularly! Chris. Thanks chris that the conclusion I came to , cracked on this weekend with the fine weather so getting there .

I like that. Never thought of it. Give it a go, or should I say roll.. Well worth getting it warm, letting it cool down, get it warm again. I usually managed to free them going back and forth in 2nd and reverse. Tommy Had this problem on one or two cars including modern ones on my brothers 1800 we put it in gear and turned the starter after about five yards with the foot on the clutch it let go . If that is the problem ?

Doing a fine job chris , managed to have a hour or two today on mine , strange how they seem to rust in different places. Mine lives outside so seems to have more damp round the edges issues . Take care wayne

Hi chris , remember years ago my old landcrab used to start sputtering every time I went up a steepish hill changing the condenser fixed it . Cause of the problem was the coil , just a note when I worked at my local garage we never changed condensers on a service , because of the risk of a faulty one being fitted.
