Hi all.
I've not posted here for a long time (since my poor old Blue Royale 3-Litre got used and abused heavily and driven into an early grave) and I hope it's okay to post a "wanted" in this section. (Mods please move or delete if not.)
I'm trying to get my "new" 3-Litre sorted out for the summer (this one won't be abused quite as much as the previous old girl) but the doors, which were a bit rusty to start with, were entrusted to a "repairer" who has severely buggered them about and now they really need replacing. :-(
I've managed to find a brand new rear N/S door but I was wondering whether anyone knew of some 3-Litre front doors - even ropey ones that could be reskinned would be okay.
I'm happy to pay a good price and collect from most places. :-)
Many thanks everyone - I'll report back on the restoration.
Kind regards.
From Mike.

Hi Mike.
Might be worth contacting Balby Motor Spares at Doncaster (01302 858805). They usually have a selection of 'Crabs for breaking. Your doors are substantively the same as the 'Crab and the Maxi, so that's probably your easiest way forward.
I *think" Ray House (07891888685) may have door skins. Tripplescrew of this parish has had dealings with him and may be able to advise more fully.
eBay seller "classicfordspare" has just broken an 1800. He hasn't listed doors, but might be worth a message.
HTH,
Chris.

Hi Chris and Tripplescrew.
Many thanks for the replies. I've spoken to Neil (Kidby) from the 3-Litre Owners Club and he says that the Maxi doors can be converted but it's not a terribly easy job, involving cutting out the inner centre section of the 3-Litre doors and welding it into the Maxi doors. If it really comes to it and I can't get any 3-Litre doors for reskinning then I may have to resort to that.
Thanks Chris and Tripplescrew.
Kind regards.
From Mike.
