In the 2010 Winter edition of the LOCI magazine, I see mention that the front wheels on the first test cars could move backwards after heavy braking so that they fouled the rear of the wheelarch. It was cured by welding in a reinforcement.
Some years ago, I went to see a Austin 1800 for sale and noticed very little clearance between the rear of the front wheels and the small bolted-in plate at the lower part of the wing that acts as a mud deflector. I could not see any obvious distortion anywhere, but walked away!
This LOCI has made me curious as to what was actually bending and whether it is still an issue; does anyone have knowledge?

does anyone have knowledge? Not owned or studied enough crabs to know I'm afraid. I did notice this problem on a friends crab though, so ......
