Hi Andrew, Am I right in thinking the fuel tank is the same on both the 18 and 2200? I'm visiting a chap tomorrow who has broken 11 landcrabs so is bound to have a fuel tank amongst his stash of spares. I can get one on your behalf and post it to you (or drop it off if you're between birmingham and barnstaple) Let me know if this is of any use and also how much you want to pay for one Cheers Rich

2200 tank is a larger capacity than the 1800 tank, but fits into the same space. I want one too, BTW. Heading to Cornwall weekend of June 6th for aged parents 60th wedding anniversity - don't go mad with the budget..... Chris.

Sorry been out all day - have refurb'd tank on my car (1800) but refurb not great and could do with extra capacity of 2200 hence post. Have got mate who can poss make me new one for £300 and have located (today) a crap one to use as a template. So non leaky good condition 2200 tank is what I'm after. If it's immaculate I'd go to £150/£200 at a push but it'd have to be top notch - thanks for thinking of me ZeroSeven711-243115 if you need to talk pricing/condition once you see. I'm between Bournemouth and Southampton. Cheers Andrew

Did you not get the eBay "immaculate" tank, Andrew?
2200 tank is 12 gallons (rather than 10) now that I've checked.
Chris.

No it was a bit odd...as I'm a bit of a luddite re computers/online stuff, got someone else to bid the first time round and I bailed out at £205 as I'm guessing the only other bidder was the owner. Couldn't be bothered to get involved the second time it popped up a few weeks later.

Hi All, Didnt manage to pick up any fuel tanks as the chap who had them was still refurbishing them and couldnt decide on a price. If anyone is interested though, he does have an absolute mountain of spares including panels, displacers etc etc. The chaps contact details are as per the "Power unit in Derby" post. He also has an Austin 1800 auto engine+box all nicely repainted. I have a couple of photo's of it if anyones interested? Cheers Rich

Derby is close to me so if anyone needs anything collecting and brought to the National in July then I am happy to oblige. The only criteria is that I have to be able to carry it - so probably not an engine or gearbox then.
