Tony Wood was telling me that he was struggling to find the bushes for the lower steady bar. I did a bit of research and found a matching bush from Superflex; purveyors of polyurethane ones. Not rubber and not particularly cheap, but it'll be a one-time fix as they don't disintegrate when slathered with oil.
Rather worn bushes....... Bar is bent. Universal adjuster applied (Firm clout with copper-faced hammer). Centre tube still on big bolt - blow torch was required to get it to come free.
Hole not even round.
Choices - old, new rubber and blue poly.
Tight Yorkie centre tube solution - clean up the old ones!
Tube still needs pushing home in vice. The red stuff is grease, not blood.........
There we go - a pleasant half an hours work.
Bush is Superflex reference SF0741P if you want a pair - SUPERFLEX.
