I would say £3,000 plus for a decent one that's well sorted.
Anywhere upwards of of that for one that's modified

Kind of agree with Snoopy. Anything decent has increased in value. The days of a £400 car with MoT have gone and , perhaps, quite rightly. The Wolseley is the "added value" car with walnut and leather if it's still original, so a small premium is to be expected.
The real problem is that the cars, for all their qualities, are not popular. The styling is definitely an acquired taste to say the least and to many people they are just pug ugly. But - the numbers have thinned out, the number of available cars is smaller, so the choice for those who really want one is reduced, which puts pressure on prices.
I just had a look at the Practical Classics price guide and they list the Austin at £3250 for mint/dealer, £2000 for Cat 1, £800 for Cat 2 and £350 for Cat 3. I've no idea when that was last updated, but it lags behind what seems to be happening. They have no listing for any Wolseley at all, so perhaps they should be free.
Realistically, mint/concours cars are pushing £7k. Very nice - £3-5 is to be expected. Below that, it's what you're prepared to pay and how much work you want to do.
Chris.

Down at our end of the world, I must admit I've seen a bit of a firming in 'crab prices. A Wolseley 18/85 was listed for $5500 last week and the car appears to have sold within a few days!

I am sure I've seen this one in happier times somewhere before. Should this dark blue F plate be going to a garage somewhere in Yorkshire? HereAlso this one for six large Here

Under the hammer at Brightwells 8th March is this here Wolseley Six. Scroll down to the bottom to find it. It has an estimate of £2000 - £3000 which seems OK though there are no interior pictures. Nick

Nearly a full MOT and opening the bidding at £1,000. 1800 in Surrey might be worth a closer look. HereNick

This firm only has one classic car auction per year. In this July's sale there will be this beauty Details not found on DVLA website so it could have been off the road for a long time. That anodised body trim says its an 18/85'S' which makes it a bit rare and special. This could be a bargain for someone as long as I don't hit the 'Create Post' button on this forum Nick oops, just did.

Not seen anything about the one above. Let's see if it pops up somewhere. Here's another one, in Cheshire. Does it belong to anyone on here? HereThis one is being broken up in Pontrefract if you fancy any local parts Chris, or cakes! Looks to have taken a hit amidships. Here
This green 18/85 might be worth a look. Geese not included. HereThen our duotone friend is for sale still/again. HereThere are others out there too, ones we've already seen. It must be summer Nick

Phil900i has already raided the breaker in Pontefract. Apparently the shell has gone. This is interesting - HBC On Line Auctions. A MkI rally car - surely a replica? Can't seem to bag a pic. Chris.
