Hi! I've now totally broken the spares car to bits and pieces. Only pieces of the body left of it. Taking the remains of it to the breakers on Monday. Anyway, I remember you asked about the crossmember, Keef. I've cut it off, well into the inner wing area, and it's in very, very good condition. Only some surface rust inside it. I've scraped off some of the rustproofing as you can see in the picture, to show the condition. Let me know if you want it, and I'll PM for further details regarding price and postage etc. I really have more spares than I need and need a clearout. I'm about to organize the spares and will list things I don't need later on. Let me know if you need anything, folks. Obviously, I want too keep all my displacers and I don't have engine mounts:-) However I have lots of stuff that I most likely will never need as interior bits, rust free mk 1 doors, 7 bonnets and boot lids (how many do one need..), enormous amonts of manifolds etc etc etc. I also have 1100 1300 and Marina seats and interior bits etc etc. Of course, lots of stuff too big to post, but hey: rent a van some of you and take a trip to Norway and visit me:-) Of course, it could be of interest to Norwegian/ Scandinavian enthusiasts too, if there are any here? Regards, Tommy:-)

Oh yes, I know him! He's marvellous! He lives near Oslo, about 400 kms from here, but I've visited him some times. It's really an experience! He's totally mad about Marinas. Must have 20 something of them, in all variants. He even has a monster truck version, an ice cream van, camper as well as pick up and van which were never sold here... He's even got other BL models, as well as Cortinas etc and on top of all he's got one of the BMC training unit buses which drove around training dealers all over the world in the 60s. I'm almost certain he'd kill for anything which has BMC, BL, Unipart etc on it. Great guy! Strangely, he's never had a Landcrab as far as I know. Well, some like the mother and so on.. Suppose he's not into the quality products of BMC/ BL ;D Anyway, Keef, I've sent you a PM. Regards, Tommy

Hi Charly! Welcome to the forum! Sorry about my late reply... I'm afraid I don't have the crossmember any more. Anyway, I'm sure it would have cost a fortune to post to the US.. I seem to remember there was a guy in Canada offering an 1800 in parts, but I could be wrong. This was through the Landcrab club. Have a look at www.landcrab.netGood luck! Regards, Tommy

Thanks, if only a couple of weeks earlier I would have gone for it. I've straightened mine and rewelded it in place.

Typical, isn't it? Still, Keef may still be seeking.
